Lake of Causse: Water Activities

Perfect for cooling off in the peak of summer, swimming in the lake is supervised from 10 am to 6 pm during the summer season. Two sandy beaches along the shores let you lay down your towel: Moulin Beach and Peupliers Beach. Fishing enthusiasts with a permit can cast their lines in the lake to catch fish such as perch, zander, pike, and other predators. Sportier visitors will love the nautical club, which offers various water activities: windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, pedal boating, and rowing for fun on the water. You can also rent pedal boats and stand-up paddles or try water skiing at Port-Couzages. For the less sporty, there's always the option of simply swimming near one of the most beautiful villages in France. If you prefer staying on land, no worries – plenty of activities await you. Play a game of pétanque or disc throwing, or go hiking on the many trails surrounding the nautical base. A 7-km walk around the lake, whether on foot or by bike, is a great way to breathe in the fresh air while enjoying a picnic, for instance. And just a few kilometers from the lake, you can enjoy an 18-hole golf course in Brive if you feel like it.
