Nestled in nature, this village is perfect for recharging in the land of castles while observing the waterfalls and caves of Quercy.

The Cascades of Gimel-les-Cascades

As its name suggests, Gimel features waterfalls, specifically located south of the village. Three waterfalls cascade in succession, with a total height of 143 meters: the Grand Saut, the Redole, and the Queue de Cheval. Several trails run alongside the waterfalls, and it takes about an hour to complete a circuit of what is arguably one of the most beautiful natural sites in Corrèze. Viewing these grand cascades requires an entrance fee: €6 for adults and €4.50 for children. In July and August, the site is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the rest of the year, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except Wednesdays, when it opens from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
